LOT #01: “Tribute to Charlie”

"Charlie and The Chocolate Factory"

Tribute to Charlie

Inspired by Roald Dahl’s classic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, this original piece of artwork by Jarrett J. Krosoczka is available exclusively via this auction to benefit First Book – Manhattan! That means, not only will the winning bidder take home an unique art piece, but 100% of every dollar spent will go directly toward the cause of buying books for kids in our community. The piece is 11″ x 14″ and comes beautifully framed and matted.

  1. At 8:25 p.m., we have a high bid of $700 from Santa! We will now begin allowing five-minute windows for competitive bidding. If we do not receive a competitive bid by 8:30 p.m., Santa will win!

  2. At 8:10 p.m., the high bidder on this lot is Santa at $575. If a competitive bidder wishes to enter the bidding, we must receive another bid by 8:15 p.m. If we do not, Santa will win! If someone does enter the bidding prior to 8:15 p.m., bidding will be allowed to continue. Good luck to all!

  3. Our current high bidder on this lot is Santa at $425. We will chime in throughout the competitive bidding, as needed, to keep things moving along and to confirm a final winning bidder. Please remember, all proceeds from this auction will help buy books for underprivileged children, so your generosity is greatly appreciated! Have fun and good luck!

  4. Bidding on this item will end tomorrow, Thursday, December 19, starting at 8 p.m. We will accept final bids until 8 p.m., then allow an additional 15 minute window for any competitive bids to be posted. In the event competitive bids are received, bidding will continue until a final high bidder becomes apparent by either resignation or an absence of bidding from a competitor. Please e-mail manhattan@firstbook.org with questions.

    • Hi Joel – We had originally intended to end the auction this afternoon, but based on the unexpectedly low turnout, we will very likely be extending the auction through the end of the week. Details to come. Thanks!
